The author of a new sci-fi/fantasy humour book being billed as another
Fighting Fantasy parody has made contact with me (see also
Regional Accounts Director). It works like
a FF book with dice rolls and multiple endings, but you play a
40-year-old nerd who has taken on the role of 'Enemy of Chaos' to
protect the fantasy universe from the chaos and entropy that has
resulted from the death of the rulemaking 'Games Master'. Numerous
amusing adventures result.
Let
me know what you think of these parodies - I'm not sure, are they
taking the mickey?
The book will be released in September in all good (UK) bookshops, and
will be published by Snowbooks. An iPhone app will come out at the same
time.
